Prathyusha committed suicide on June 11, 2022, at her boutique in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. According to reports, on June 10, 2022, she informed her parents that she was staying at a friend’s house for two days. On June 11, 2022, her father became nervous when he did not receive his call. After some time, the caretaker of the boutique informed her father that Prathyusha did not open the door of the washroom of the boutique. Her father came to the boutique, opened the door and found Pratyusha’s body lying on the floor. She was admitted to Osmania Hospital for regular medical check-up. Police reported that she committed suicide after inhaling carbon monoxide. She also left a suicide note which read:
This is not the life I want…! I don’t want to be a burden to my parents…! Every day, I cry. Apologies to my parents, all my friends and well-wishers. ”
She was on good terms with actor Ram Charan’s wife Upasana Konedra, who condoled her death on Twitter and said:
My bestie, my dearest friend. Gone too soon – upset/angry/sad – she had the best of everything, career, friends and family but succumbed to depression. After this incident, I truly believe that karma occurs over lifetimes. We pray she is safe. “
