Arvind Mafatlal postage stamp released: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday released a special postage stamp in honor of industrialist and philanthropist late Mr. Arvind Bhai Mafatlal. The stamp was released by the Prime Minister at an event in Chitrakoot held to celebrate the birth centenary of the late entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister praised the down-to-earth Mafatlal who selflessly worked for the welfare of the poor. Mafatlal opened the country’s first petrochemical complex and did a commendable job in the agricultural sector uplifting the poor.

The Prime Minister recalled how he met the late businessman while he was working in the drought-hit tribal belt of Bhiloda and Dahod in Gujarat and was impressed by his commitment to the welfare of the common man.

The Prime Minister recalled how the entrepreneur spent the whole day working for the welfare of people affected by the drought, and when he got used to his work and personality, he immediately became emotionally attached to his mission.

Highlighting his contribution to the industrial and agricultural sectors, the Prime Minister mentioned that late Arvind Bhai played a key role in reviving the glory of the traditional textile industry and was globally recognized for his contribution.

The Prime Minister said that sacrifice is the most effective way to preserve one’s success or wealth, and Mafatlal made it a mission and worked with dedication and humanity throughout his life.
