Prince George Has Perfected This Signature Hair Move He Learned from Kate Middleton as a Toddler!

• A clip of Prince George rocking his bangs has gone viral on TikTok.

• Kensington Palace announced Monday that Princess Kate is recovering at home after scheduled abdominal surgery on Jan. 16.

Prince George adopted one of his mom’s hairstyles!

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son turned 10 over the summer, and a montage highlighting a style trick he picked up from his mum has gone viral on TikTok, with the clip being viewed more than 750,000 times.

“Catherine fixing George’s hair when he was little,” royal fan account TheWalesFamily5 wrote alongside a throwback snap of Princess Kate, 42, brushing Prince George’s bangs when he was a toddler. Footage emerged of Kate smoothing her son’s hair at Princess Charlotte’s christening, now 8, 2015, Trooping the Color 2016, the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford later that summer and more.

The video flashed forward to the present, with the superimposed text reading: “Prince George now, keeping his hair flawless.”

Kate Middleton left hospital after abdominal surgery: ‘Progressing well’

The video cut to a candid moment where the cameras caught George — now a pre-teen! — catching his reflection in a car window and fixing his hair in The Big Help Out during King Charles’ coronation weekend in May 2023. The clip cuts to George pushing his hair back into place as he heads to church at St. at Windsor Castle at Easter 2022 and doing the same as they leave St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham at Christmas in December.

“George might be too old for Catherine to do his hair, but now she’s doing the same with Louis,” one TikToker wrote in a comment that has been liked hundreds of times, referring to Prince William and Princess Kate’s youngest son, Prince Louis, 5. Another added that Princess Diana “used to do it” with her sons Prince William and Prince Harry.

Christmas marked what appeared to be Prince William and Princess Kate’s last public outing with their three children before Kensington Palace announced on January 17 that the Princess of Wales had “planned abdominal surgery” the day before. On Monday, the palace announced that Princess Kate had been discharged from hospital and would continue her recovery at her home in Windsor.

Kate Middleton wants to ‘keep it normal’ for George, Charlotte and Louis during their hospitalization

“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is progressing well,” Kensington Palace said in a statement on Monday. “The Prince and Princess would like to say a huge thank you to the entire team at the London Clinic, particularly the dedicated medical staff, for the care they have provided.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world,” it added.

PEOPLE understands the problem was not cancerous and that Prince William, 41, has put public duties on hold to support his wife during her recovery and care for their children. The Prince of Wales did not carry out official duties while Princess Kate was in hospital and is not expected to do so during the first days of her recovery at home.

“We know they are a very close family unit and he wants to be there for them,” Robert Hardman, author of the book The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchytells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s cover story.

A January 17 statement from Kensington Palace announcing that Kate had undergone surgery said she was expected to remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days and “based on current medical advice, it is unlikely that she will return to public duties before Easter.”

While the Princess of Wales recovers in private, her father-in-law, King Charles, publicly stepped out of a London clinic on Monday, three days after undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate. The king, 75, waved as he left the facility with Queen Camilla in what is expected to be his only appearance for several days. Buckingham Palace said the monarch would take a “period of private recovery” after the treatment.
