Kate Middleton and Prince William are faced with the same dilemma as any other married couple when it comes to mealtime — who’s going to cook?!
Taking part in a mental health forum on BBC Radio 1 and charity The Mix, the royal couple also appeared on Going Home with Vick and Jordan on Radio 1 on Tuesday and when asked what they would have for dinner when they returned to their home in Windsor. And their response led to a rather amusing discovery by Prince William about how much spice can be in a curry.
– Do you cook? Kate (41) asked her husband in an interview recorded on Tuesday.
“No, I think it’ll probably be a curry, isn’t it tonight?” he replied.
“So you’re looking at me?” – asked Kate playfully during a short conversation.
“It depends what time we get back,” William, 41, quipped, before Kate added: “Yeah, it’ll probably be curry or teriyaki salmon, something like that.”

Radio 1 presenters Jordan North and Vick Hope then asked them if they liked their curries, hot or mild?
“I can’t spice it up too much, I start to sweat. It’s not attractive,” admitted William,
“And I like spice so I have to cook curry and then add spice, extra spice at the end,” added Kate.
William then joked that Kate “has to take it in gently because I sweat too much otherwise. It’s not a pretty sight!”
Earlier, at the forum – which took place on World Mental Health Day – the pair took part in some workshops, with Kate and others taking turns describing feelings from the emotion wheel, while the rest of the table had to guess what they were explaining.
Kate also gave a speech calling on everyone to come together to “build a brighter, more resilient future”.

“Today, more people feel empowered to talk about their mental health than ever before,” she told the crowd. “This is a huge step forward. William and I continue to be inspired to see young people, like all of you today, leading this action – you are particularly brave in some of these conversations. As a generation, you value and talk about your mental health more than anyone before you – something we sincerely admire and applaud.”
William, meanwhile, was asked what “tricks” he has in his toolbox to help deal with mental health challenges.
“For me,” he said regal, it was “just general maintenance, general mental well-being.” More specifically, it meant “things, like a walk, fresh air [and] Getting away from the screen is a big deal,” he added.

“Laughing. Humor is a big thing for me – I like to laugh,” William continued. “Sometimes you have to look at the lighter things in life to feel good.”
He also noted that “time with friends, time with family — things like that are really important to me.”

The royal couple continue their visits to raise awareness of mental health on Wednesday, with two separate outings.
Kate visited Nottingham Trent University in England, while William will spend time with emergency workers in Milton Keynes and highlight their welfare.
