Turn up the volume
In 2023, Puneesh co-founded a media production company called Volume Up with singer Manas Abhiram. He mentioned in an interview that first they will focus on making music and short films. He also said he started his own production company because other producers cheated him. Talking about his experience, he said:
After the epidemic, I had very little work and had to face many challenges. The popularity I gained as a former Bigg Boss contestant also declined. Still, I met people in the industry who raised my hopes with false promises, only to have them crumble again. I had signed a film and was preparing for it, but it got cancelled. I wasted 6 months of my life like this. Likewise, I was assigned a TV show, but when I showed up on set, I knew I’d been replaced by an actor who they thought would be a better fit for the role. Then I received another TV series in which many actors, including myself, were replaced. All these experiences left me demoralized. ”
He was inspired to start Volume Up after a famous producer he met in Goa approached him with the idea of taking the work into his own hands. The label’s first project is the music video for Haara Nahi (2023) starring Puneesh.

Problems with Bandgi Kalra in Bigg Boss
When Puneesh and Bandgi Kalra were on the show Bigg Boss, they created a lot of controversies. Initially, a cast member claimed that Benjy and Puneesh were cheating on him. These claims have been denied. However, at the same time, Benjy was in a relationship with Dennis Nagpal, one of Puneesh’s friends. After witnessing a loving scene between Puneesh and Benji, Dennis posted on social media that he was breaking up with her. He also retweeted a tweet from Shilpa Shinde, who criticized the two for dating on the show.
