Puneet Issar is an Indian actor, writer and director. He is best known for his role as “Duryodhana” in the Indian epic TV series Mahabharata (1988).

Puneet Issar was born on Friday, November 6, 1959, in Amritsar, Punjab (age 60 years 2019). His zodiac sign is Scorpio. His family originated from Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He completed his schooling from St. Lawrence High School in Mumbai and went on to graduate from Mithibai College. After graduation, Puneet took acting courses at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

Profession
Punit started his career as an acting professor at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. After a long career in the industry, he played the role of “Bob” in the Bollywood film Coolie (1983). However, during the filming of the movie, Isar accidentally injured Amitabh Bachchan. After the incident, no one wanted to cooperate with Punit. He then struggled for six years, appearing in some small roles in some B-movies.

Isar made his Malayalam film debut in 1992 with the film Yoddha. Puneet made her Tamil film debut with the film “I Love India”; Kannada film debut “Samrat”; Bengali film debut “Bhagya Debata”; Telugu film debut “Master”; and Punjabi film debut She made her film debut with the film Rabb Ne Banaiyan Jodiean. Some of his Hindi films include Ashaant, Khalnayika, Refugee, I Am Singh, Qayamat Hi Qayamat, Krishna Arjun and Son of Sardaar. Punit made his directorial debut in 2004 with the film Garv.

In 2014, he participated in the game reality show “Bigg Boss Season 8”. He was one of the top 5 finalists and stayed in the Bigg Boss house for 105 days. In 2019, he appeared in ZEE5’s web series “Parchhayee” as “Maharaja Digambar Singh”.

Puneet accidentally injured Amitabh Bachchan while shooting one of the fight scenes in the film Coolie. Amitabh was seriously injured and had to undergo surgery. The incident turned Puneet into a real-life villain in the public eye, and he was criticized by people across the country. However, after Bachchan recovered from his injury, he clarified that Puneet did not do it intentionally.
