Putin suffers one of worst blows of Ukraine war as 65 Russians killed by US-made missile while ‘lining up for parade’

PUTIN suffered a devastating blow when an American-made HIMARS missile blew up 65 soldiers as they lined up for a parade.

Shocking images show bodies strewn across the military training ground after the attack.

In a humiliating twist, at least 65 soldiers and officers were killed en masse in an American-made missile attack.

Russian soldiers were ordered to line up for an impromptu inspection by the war’s top commander, Major General Oleg Moiseev, 49, when the unexpected strike came.

The soldiers who died were members of the 4th, 5th and 6th companies of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade.

Ukraine had intelligence about a meeting with disciplinarian Moiseev, commander of the 29th Army of the Eastern Military District and a hero of pro-Putin propagandists.

A precision triple strike by HIMARS hit the target moments before the major general arrived on the scene, according to Russian sources.

Putin suffered another setback today as Ukraine claimed to have shot down another Russian Su-34 fighter jet.

According to Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, it was the seventh enemy warplane destroyed in a week.

Moiseev was accused by Russian war bloggers of threatening his subordinates by calling an inspection to Trudivske, the occupied Donetsk region.

The costly mistake occurred as Putin tried to bask in the glory of a small advance by his troops in Avdiivka, following a tactical retreat by the Ukrainian army.

The dictator told his defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, “As far as the overall situation in Avdiivka is concerned, this is an absolute success.

“Congratulations. You have to build on that.”

Shoigu boasted: “Operation to liberate Avdiivka will be included in textbooks and studied in all educational institutions in [Russian] Ministry of defence.”

Wanting to impress, he also allegedly lied to Putin about the capture of another strategically important Ukrainian village, Krynki, in the Kherson region, which remains in Ukrainian hands.

“It is indeed true….Krynki has been cleared [of Ukrainians]”, said Shojgu imprecisely to his boss.

The Russian Telegram channel Thirteenth reported: “How many more fantastic versions will be released at the top [Putin]?

“This is not positive propaganda, this is a pure lie [by Shoigu].”

However, there were no signs of “absolute success” and “textbook” warfare in the carnage suffered by the Russians in Trudivska.

One angry comment said: “One can only be surprised at the lack of learning of Fr [commanders] in the second year [the war].”

FIVE of Putin’s biggest war disasters

SINCE Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine, the warmonger has suffered several humiliating defeats.

  1. Sinking of the Moskva The Russian Black Sea Admiral Ship Moskva sank on April 14, 2022 after being hit by a burst of Ukrainian missiles.

Moscow has acquired legendary status among Ukrainian defenders after a group of heavily armed border guards shouted “Russian warship, screw you!” when he ordered them to surrender.

  2. Wagner coup Wagner’s boss Prigozhin led an armed rebellion with the stated goal of overthrowing Russian military leaders while promising to march on Moscow

Within hours of the 400-vehicle convoy arriving on Russian soil from Ukraine, Wagner’s troops took control of Russia’s regional military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don.

  3. Crimean Bridge Explosion At least two people have been killed and one injured after powerful explosions rocked Vladimir Putin’s £3bn Crimean Bridge.

Two suicide marine drones brought down parts of the bridge on July 17, 2023 as hordes of motorists traveled across it.

  4. Liberation of Kherson Russian forces were driven out of the southern city of Kherson, the gateway to Crimea and the largest city of one of the four Ukrainian territories annexed in September 2022.

It marked one of Russia’s most significant withdrawals since the start of the war and a potential turning point in the conflict that has been raging since late February.

  5. The Battle of Kharkiv In May 2022, Ukraine declared victory in the Battle of Kharkiv, pushing Putin’s forces out of the country’s second city.

In total, Russia lost more than 70 tanks, trucks and armored vehicles in four days of trying to cross the Donets River.

Moiseyev – who received three orders for bravery – was the subject of a dull propaganda film by Putin’s favorite TV cheerleader Vladimir Soloviev.

But the major general was publicly blamed for his fiasco in the Donetsk region.

One channel announced: “He set up this formation. He killed these people.”

War reporter Andrey Rudenko condemned commanders like Moiseev for lining up their troops close to the front line “to simply show their importance.”

He sarcastically announced, “There is a very high probability of getting a HIMARS MLRS missile into what is called your head.

“Therefore, take care of yourself and your subordinates!”

Many of the soldiers who died were from the TransBaikal region of Siberia.

The authorities there today sought to stop the spread of reports of the carnage suffered by the soldiers.

Telegram channel Military Informant broke the news of “another tragedy” involving the deaths of dozens of soldiers.

Prominent pro-Kremlin politician Vladimir Rogov attacked the “criminal practice” of parading soldiers in front of commanders on “fields flooded with missiles.”
