RN Ravi, also known as Ravindera Narayan Ravi, was born on Thursday, April 3, 1952, in Patna, Bihar (age 71; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Aries. In 1974, he completed graduate studies in physics. “Status Assurance Order” filed against Ravi
In November 2022, M Kannadasan Kancheepuram district Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazagam president filed a writ petition against Ravi in the Madras High Court. M Kannadasan alleged in the petition that RN Ravi served as the chairman of the Auroville Foundation board for profit-making purposes during his tenure as the Governor of Tamil Nadu. Controversy erupted over removal of minister V. Senthil Balaji
In June 2023, V. Senthil Balaji was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the cash-for-job controversy and Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi immediately disqualified Balaji from the Council of Ministers. However, Chief Minister Stalin later chose to retain Balaji as minister but without concurrent portfolio. Facts/Trivia
- After RN Ravi was appointed as Tamil Nadu Governor Chingwang Konyak, nationalist DMK president Chingwang Konyak revealed in a media talk that the Nagaland government is not satisfied with the functioning of the state. He also revealed that Ravi often interfered in government affairs when he was the governor of Nagaland.
- Apparently, reporters from the Kohima Press Club (KPC) were not present at Ravi’s state farewell ceremony as Ravi refused to have any interaction with the media despite repeated requests.
- As of 2022, RN Ravi is also serving as the Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tamil Nadu.
