- On May 1, 2022, R. Parthiban shared the stage with Indian musician AR Rahman in Tamil Nadu during the launch of his song for his film Iravin Nizhal. While interacting with AR Rahman on stage, R Parthiban threw the microphone towards the audience and Robo Shankar stating that the microphone was not working. He later apologized for his behavior and explained that he had lost his temper under pressure. The incident shocked the audience and AR Rahman.
