Rachana Krishna was born in India. She attended Carmel High School in Bangalore. From 2014 to 2018, she studied for a Bachelor of Science and Technology. in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Tamil Nadu. While studying at VIT, she was a member of the student union. After graduation, she worked as a marketing business development intern, responsible for the brand promotion of OYO rooms in Vellore. She then studied for an MBA in Digital Technology and Innovation at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. While at the Questrom School of Business, she served as Vice President of the student-led BizTech Club. She also serves as the graduate advisor to the student organization Product Vision Club.

In January 2018, she started an internship at Cisco.
