Rachel Lindsay Said She and Bryan Abasolo Lived ‘Totally Different Lives’ to ‘Protect’ Their Marriage Before Divorce News

Rachel Lindsay recently revealed that her and estranged husband Bryan Abasolo’s marriage had hit some rough patches just weeks before he decided to end their relationship.

News broke Tuesday that Abasolo, 43, had filed for divorce in Los Angeles after four years of marriage.

A few weeks before the announcement, the 38-year-old ex Bachelor appeared on the December 21 episode of Nick Viall Viall files podcast, where she admitted that at times it seemed like she and Abasolo were on different pages.

Lindsay, who works as a podcaster, TV host and author, said she and her chiropractor husband live “completely different lives”.

Expanding on how their careers factored into the amount of time they spent with each other, the TV personality added: “Bryan is the only practitioner [and] he leaves the house at 8. He comes home at 9 o’clock, 9:30 [at night] sometimes. It’s just him.”

“Me, especially now that I’m not working ExtraI have a lot more free time … and then I’m back in the hustle and bustle of trying to find another job, so I go to events,” Lindsay said. “So we’re just in two completely different places.”

She continued, “We don’t have much time to take pictures and show what we’re doing because we’re in bed or something.”

Lindsay told Viall, 43, that she and Abasolo don’t necessarily work together as the podcaster and his fiancee Natalie Joy, adding that she accepted it for the good of their relationship.

Some fans wondered why Lindsay and Abasolo don’t post much together, but the Texas lawyer had a simple explanation.

“We don’t put ourselves out there at all [except] maybe an anniversary or a holiday [post here and there]but I think I did it because people were so critical of us when we left the show,” she said.

“I just [was like], ‘I want to keep this to myself,’ and, you know, marriage has its ups and downs, but you never know when we’re good or when we’re not because we never bring it out,” she said during the episode. “I kind of want it to stay that way, so when I want to share something, I do.”

Elsewhere in the interview, she also admitted that she and Abasolo were “working on having a baby” but “it was a bit of a struggle too.”

Lindsay and Abasolo first met in season 13 Bachelor back in 2017, Abasolo stood out early and received the first rose for his impression. During the season finale filmed in Spain, Linsday chose Abasolo over Peter Krause and accepted his proposal.

The date of filing for divorce was listed as Sunday, and the date listed was “irreconcilable differences”.
