Selena Gomez is slowing making music and focusing on acting.
The actress and singer (31) spoke about her career and goals in a new interview.
“I feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” Gomez said in the latest episode SmartLess podcast to a question about her two passions, trans Diversity.
She added: “I’m going to want to relax because I’m tired. I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended to be a full-time singer, but obviously that hobby turned into something else.”
“I don’t think I’m the best singer, but I know how to tell stories and I love being able to create songs,” she continued.
Gomez said in a new interview that she has “one more album in her.”

The Just the murders in the building the star explained on the podcast — as reported Diversity — how her music career began and how it ended with her having to juggle both singing and acting.
“I started having a lot of fun with the music and that’s when the tour was really fun,” the star told hosts Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes. “But I was doing my TV show [Wizards of Waverly Place] at the same time and it was just fun for me, so I kept going.”
She further admitted that her point of view has changed since then. “But the older I get, the more I’m like I’d like to find something to just stop at,” she said.

Gomez got into music after working with Disney.

The “Single Soon” singer also opened up about the mental health issues she’s had after working too much. “I went to a mental institution and canceled one of my tours,” Gomez said. “It just hit me because I like to work and it distracts me from the bad stuff.”

The star also revealed how she became interested in music while acting Wizards of Waverly Place — her breakthrough role on the Disney Channel.
“Disney is, it’s safe to say, a machine and, in a way, it’s very demanding that I know how to sing in order to sing the theme song [of a show]. They know how to pack someone in and make it a triple threat,” she said.
