In 2017, Rahul Verma married Garima Arora. The couple have known each other for ten years. Garima Arora was born on November 9, 1986 in Mumbai to a Punjabi family. She worked as a journalist for six months; however, she left the industry and went to Paris. There she completed her diploma at Le Cordon Bleu, before moving to Dubai to intern at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant. In 2015, she moved to Bangkok to work as sous chef at Indian chef Gaggan Anand’s Gaggan restaurant. In 2017, chef Garima Arora opened her own restaurant Gaa in Bangkok. On November 14, 2018, Garima and her restaurant were awarded a Michelin star, a badge of honor for chefs and their restaurants. She is the first Indian female chef to receive this honor. In February 2019, she was awarded the title of Asia’s Best Female Chef, and her restaurant is ranked among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. In 2022, she won the Young Chef Award from the 2022 Michelin Guide Thailand.
