Facts/Trivia
- He is a trained Kathakali dancer and trained in Kalaripayattu (a form of martial arts).
- When a reporter asked him about his unique last name, he said –
It was because of the dealer that I changed my name. If I were a well-known director in India, this problem would not have arisen. It was my first film and it was made in England. Distributors were less interested in a British film directed by an unknown Asian. So, they asked me to change my last name to something easier to pronounce! Finally, the makers bring Touchriver, the English translation of Thodupuzha (a place in Kerala)! ”
- He appeared in the Karmaveer episode (October 18, 2019) of Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 (2019) along with his wife Sunitha Krishnan.
