Rajvir Jawanda was born in Pona village, Jagraon, Ludhiana. His family has a Punjab Police background; as most of his family members are serving in the Punjab Police. He studied at Sanmati Vimal Jain School in Jagraon and went on to DAV College for graduation. Jawanda began learning music from his mentor Lalli Khan at a very young age. He used to listen to the music of Gurdas Maan during his student days. After graduation, Jawanda entered Punjab University to pursue a postgraduate degree. While studying at university, he actively participated in various music competitions. After graduation, he passed the Punjab Police exam and underwent one year of training under the Punjab Police.

Rajvir started his singing career in 2016 with the song “Kali Jawande Di”. Next, he sang the song “Muqabla”, which earned him widespread popularity. Later, he released songs like “Patiala Shahi Pagg”, “Kesri Jhande”, “Shokeen”, “Landlord” and “Surname”. In 2017, he released the Punjabi song “Kangini” which became a huge hit.
