For one lucky 19-year-old, fishing turned into a “fairy tale”.
According to South Wales News Service (SWNS), on October 8, Esha Patel, a Cardiff University student from Cheltenham, England, went fishing in the United Kingdom with her father and stumbled upon a stunning non-aquatic animal.
Patel and her father saw three deer during the trip, two with the expected brown fur and the third covered in bright, all-white fur.
“The white one came so close – just three feet! It was beautiful and so sweet,” Patel told SWNS of the “breathtaking” experience.

Sightings of deer collared with “Pet” emblazoned on the body warrant an alert from a Mo officer.
A student managed to record a video of a rare creature. In the video, the deer stands calmly on a wide path surrounded by trees. The animal also walks towards the camera and sniffs the ground before calmly turning around.
“I loved it,” Patel said of her close encounter with a white deer, adding that the moment was like a “fairy tale.”
At first, Patel and her father thought the sight was too good to be true.
“We’ve never seen one before, and my dad said, are you sure it was a deer and not a goat?” Patel said. “So we had to watch the videos again when we got home to confirm it.”
– Supposedly it’s good luck to see them, so I thought I’d buy a lottery ticket! she added.

Patel and her father chose not to reveal the exact location of where they saw their white deer to protect the animal from anyone interested in hunting the creature.
“I think these beautiful animals should be protected and loved – hunters think they’re worth a lot of money, but you can’t put a price on this,” Patel told SWNS.

According to The British Deer Society, the white animal could have been a fallow deer, a type of deer found in Europe that comes in several colors, including white.
The animal is probably not a deer with albinism because the creature lacks the red eyes usually found in animals with albinism.
