Raymond & Ray is an upcoming comedy series that will premiere exclusively on the popular streaming platform Apple TV+ on Friday, October 21, 2022. The film had its global premiere on October 12. September 2022 at the Toronto International Film Festival and distributed theatrically in the United States on October 14, 2022, the comedy-drama was written and directed by Rodrigo Garca. The film is directed by Igor Jadue-Lillo, composed by Jeff Beal, and produced by Bonnie Curtis, Alfonso Cuarón and Julie Lynn.
Raymond & Ray’s official synopsis is as follows:
“Raymond & Ray” follows half-brothers Raymond and Ray as they grow up in the shadow of their abusive father. They still had a sense of humour, and his funeral was an opportunity for them to re-enact. There’s anger, anxiety, madness, maybe love, and unmistakable grave digging.”

Ethan Hawke, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the Before trilogy, will play Ray in Raymond and Ray. Outside of the prequel, Hawke is best known for his roles in Dead Poets Society, Reality Bites, The Purge, Mason Evans Sr. in Boyhood, Les Keffy in Ten Thousand Saints, Ellison Oswalt in Sinister and Arthur Harrow in Moon Knight.

Raymond, the lead role in Raymond & Ray, will be played by Primetime Emmy Award winner Ewan McGregor. McGregor is best known for his roles in the Star Wars prequel trilogy such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Christian in Moulin Rouge!, Father Patrick McKenna in Angels and Demons and Dr. Alfred Jones in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.
