dr. Nicole Martin is grieving a great loss.
On Sunday, The Real Housewives of Miami star (39) announced the sudden death of his father. She paid tribute to him on Instagram, explaining that “it all happened so fast” and that his death “still doesn’t feel real”.
“I couldn’t find the words and I still can’t,” Martin wrote as she shared several photos of her with her dad, as well as two sweet photos of him with his son Greyson. “Part of me is still waiting for one of your crazy phone calls. So many things left unsaid and moments we didn’t share. Trying not to dwell on the missed moments and focusing on the improvements we’ve made.”
She continued about her father: “You had a zest for life and I know you’ll have fun up in heaven. Rest in peace dad. I love you. 🙏❤️🥹.”
Many of the Martins RHOM costars shared their love and support for her in the comments on the post, and Guerdy Abraira wrote a particularly heartfelt message to his friend.
“I love you so much my beautiful friend. This Thanksgiving, as you grieve, also be thankful for the good times. I’m so happy that your last moments with him were positive and loving. That’s all that matters, good memories. He was the life of the party and always so positive and THAT is definitely a vibe to live by, counting every day as a blessing. ❤️🙏🏾”
Alexia Nepola wrote: “So sorry for your loss. Sending you love and light.” Larsa Pippen chimed in, commenting, “We are so sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of love and prayers 🙏🏼.”

News of Martina’s loss comes after she exclusively revealed to PEOPLE earlier this month that she and fiance Anthony Lopez are expecting their second child together.
“Anthony and I wear many hats, but we always say that being parents is by far our favorite!” she said upon the news of her pregnancy. “We’re having so much fun with Greyson and can’t wait to expand our family.”
The couple’s baby is due in April, and Martin said Greyson, 4 ½, is excited for his sibling-to-be.
“Oh, he’s very excited about adding to our family,” the anesthesiologist said. “He’s been looking for a sibling for a while and I know he’s going to be a wonderful big brother.”

Before getting engaged in 2021, Martin and Lopez had been together for more than seven years — and welcomed their first child together. After her longtime love popped the question, the Bravo star told PEOPLE that she didn’t always think marriage was for her.
“I’ve never been against the idea of marriage, I just think a lot of people put too much pressure on the concept of marriage and use it as a means of creating security and happiness. Those things don’t come from marriage, they come from inside you,” she said.
The mother-to-be added: “In my personal experience, marriage didn’t mean living happily ever after. So instead of focusing on getting married again, I focused my time and energy on what really matters – being happy and creating a life that I love. That has really been a priority for me the past few years — Anthony and I have a great relationship, we wanted a family and we have an amazing son who we adore, we’re established in our careers, we’ve remodeled our dream house, we’ve traveled and made amazing memories. prioritized marriage because we were busy enjoying our lives.”

She gushed about her fiance: “Anthony always respected me as an individual. He never tried to change me. He’s been incredibly supportive of me and my career. He makes me grow and be better. Over the years we’ve grown together and I’ve loved every moment. Plus everything else obvious things — he’s funny, witty and handsome.”
