Reba McEntire Denies Allegation She Called Taylor Swift an ‘Entitled Brat’: ‘Don’t Believe Everything You See’

Reba McEntire says a social media post about her and Taylor Swift is not true.

Earlier this week, a Facebook page titled America Loves Liberty shared a post on the social platform that said the country music star, 68, took issue with how the post claimed Swift, 34, behaved during McEntire’s performance at 2024 .Super Bowl.

“Reba McIntire [sic] talking about how disappointed she was to look at the big screen during the national anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making fun of the event,” the post read, before claiming McEntire replied: ” I let her have it afterwards. She’s a real little brat.”

Now, in an Instagram post, McEntire shared a screenshot of the America Loves Liberty post and denied she ever said what the page claims, writing in the caption: “Please don’t believe everything you see online. I didn’t say this.”

“Taylor is a beautiful artist, a strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry,” she added.

Reba McEntire jokes she’s ‘so mad’ at Taylor Swift over Travis Kelce dating rumors: ‘I was in love with him’

During Super Bowl LVIII, McEntire performed the national anthem, while Swift attended in support of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 during a game at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada on February 11th.

McEntire joined other artists who performed during the sporting event’s kickoff, including Post Malone, who sang “America the Beautiful” and Andra Day, who sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Meanwhile, Usher brought energy to Vegas, surprise guests and a set list featuring many of his hits during his halftime performance.

Kelly Clarkson says Reba McEntire gave her the idea for Taylor Swift to re-record her songs

McEntire has been a longtime fan of Swift since she first hit the music scene nearly two decades ago.

During a December 2023 interview with NBC’s TikTok, McEntire said she first knew Swift was going to be a star when she saw Midnight the artist performs her song “Tim McGraw” from her debut self-titled album in front of the musician himself.

“[Taylor] I walked down the stairs looking right at Tim McGraw singing, and I said, ‘This girl is going to be a big star,'” McEntire said at the time. you really want to sing and impress without fail. I mean, I was impressed.”

The “I’m a Survivor” singer previously teased Swift about her relationship with Kelce, 34, in October 2023, telling TODAY.com that she was upset because she was in love with the NFL star herself.

“Oh my God, I’m so mad at her because I was in love with him,” McEntire said, adding: “Now I can’t be in love anymore because he’s dating her. I was so devastated.”
