Rebecca Ferguson’s N.Y.C. Dune 2 Premiere Look Featured Dog Chains Her Husband Bought at a Pet Store

Rebecca Ferguson and her husband Rory St. Clair Gainer got creative for the recent Dina: part 2 red carpet look!

The Mission Impossible the actress, 40, who also stars in director Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming sci-fi adventure film, opened up Harper’s Bazaar about the appearance of the wardrobe at the last moment, with her husband behind.

While speaking to the magazine for an interview published Thursday, Ferguson said that she and her stylist, Tom Eerebout, went with a gothic ensemble by Olivier Theyskens to the premiere in New York on February 25.

Her husband then stepped in to lift her black bodysuit, which was layered under a sheer dress with lace and mesh overlays, to even greater heights.

Ferguson explained that she accessorized her look with thigh-high black boots and a stack of dog chains that St. Picked up by Clair Gainer at a local pet store.

Adding a pop of color with bright red lips, the actress jokingly dubbed her style for the evening “Madonna on crack.”

“I’m more Gothic. I’m tense. I’m Scandi,” said the Swedish star, further describing her style. “I’m not fluffy and, you know, like a bride. That’s just not me.”

Her Big Apple premiere appearance was a complete 180 from her Dune character. In the first and second parts of the franchise, Ferguson plays Lady Jessica, the mother of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet).

“I think it was pretty nice for me at the end here to be able to just let loose and think, No, screw him,” Ferguson said. Harper’s Bazaar her gothic glamour. “I will completely break away and communicate something completely different. you know, [having the] freedom and a platform for it.”

“She doesn’t have to be in the front rows,” said the actress The Hollywood Reporter her character’s quiet strengths in 2021. “She’s so powerful that her words are kind of counterproductive to what she’s doing. Calmness came over her. I meditated and breathed a lot.”

While prepping the press for the film earlier this week, Ferguson revealed she “screamed” at an A-list actor on the set of a previous production.

Discussing her “absolute idiot of a costar” on Rule with Josh Smith podcast, she said the person became enraged because they couldn’t “couldn’t deliver the scenes.”

“And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I screamed,” Ferguson said. “But because that person was number one on the call list, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry leaving the set.”

She refused to reveal the identity of the person, but confirmed that it was not her former co-stars Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise.

After the discovery, Ferguson Hercules costar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson came to her defense.

“Hate to see this but love to see her stand up to the bulls—,” he wrote in response to a clip of the interview.

“Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven to our set,” he added.

Dina: part 2 opens in theaters Friday.
