Adele Says She Won't See Fans 'for an Incredibly Long Time' After Las Vegas Residency Ends

Adele is warning her fans about her upcoming hiatus.

The “Easy on Me” singer, 36, told the audience at a recent concert in Munich that she will be retiring from the spotlight for an “incredibly long time” after her Las Vegas residency ends in November.

A video posted on TikTok shows Adele addressing her fans on stage, saying: “I have 10 shows, but after that I won’t see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you in my heart.”

People in the comments section shared their sadness at the news and also acknowledged that Adele is taking longer breaks between projects.

“This is what Adele does. Disappears then comes out with a banger,” wrote a fan, alluding to her six-year gap between 25 and 30 albums.

Adele is set to perform the final 10 concerts of her Weekends with Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from October 25 to November 23, marking the end of a residency that began in November 2022.

The dates were originally scheduled for March, but Adele had to postpone them in February in order to rest her voice. “Unfortunately, I have to take some time off and end my Vegas residency,” she said at the time. “I was sick at the end of the last stage and during the entire break.”

The winner of 16 Grammys ended her residency in Munich on Sunday, August 31st. The residency started on August 2 and played in the outdoor Messe München. According to the residency’s website, it was the first time she had performed in “mainland Europe” since 2016.

Earlier this summer, Adele told Germany’s ZDF that she had no plans for new music. Instead, she focuses on other endeavors.

“I have no plans for new music at all,” she said. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”

In August, Adele appeared to confirm engagement rumors surrounding her relationship with sports executive Rich Paul when she told a fan during her concert that she “can’t marry” them because “I’m already getting married.” The moment was captured by someone from the audience.

The couple first sparked dating rumors in July 2021, when they were photographed watching the NBA Finals together.
