Ree Drummond Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Son Jamar on His 21st Birthday: ‘I Love You’

Ree Drummond celebrates her son Jamar Goff.

Pioneer woman star, 54, shared an adorable tribute to Jamar on Instagram on Saturday, to commemorate his 21st birthday.

“Today is October 7th, otherwise known as Jamar’s birthday, and I hope these photos give you a little insight into his personality and his presence,” Ree wrote alongside a solo photo of Jamar, as well as several photos of him with his two brothers. Bryce and Todd.

“With Jamar, there’s a whole universe going on in his mind, heart and soul. It’s a beautiful thing to see,” she continued, before noting that she wonders, as she does with all her children, what Jamar might be doing in the years to come.

“I can’t wait to see how his future unfolds. I know it will be filled with good things. I love you Jamar!! ❤️🥳,” Ree concluded the caption.

Ree Drummond’s 5 children: Everything you need to know

Jamar joined the Drummond family in 2018, when Ree and her husband Ladd became his foster parents.

Ree initially kept details of her fifth child under wraps, but eventually opened up about her relationship with Jamar in her book, Frontier Follies.

“Adopting a child was never something Ladd and I aspired to or felt called to do, but Jamar’s circumstances presented themselves to us in a way we couldn’t ignore,” she wrote. “Long story short, all six feet five inches of him showed up at our house one afternoon, bag in hand, ready to move in.”

However, she said he really became part of the family when he was involved in an accident on one of their SUVs, which “severely injured his foot” and left him with “skin grafts” and much-needed “tendon repair surgery.”

Ree Drummond teases foster son Jamar for bringing home bags of laundry: ‘Good thing he’s cute’

“Jamar’s accident, while terrible, had an unexpected benefit for our newly changed family: It made us all get damn close, and fast,” she wrote, adding that she changed the bandages on his legs and gave him medication as her husband drove him to doctor’s examinations. In the meantime, her sons helped him find his way.

“We were all involved in Jamar’s work, and if there was any hesitation on either side to communicate and feel comfortable with each other, his injury quickly broke down those walls and gave us all a reason to come together. Jamar had us you learn to trust,” Ree explained.
