Reese Witherspoon Defends Her Choice to Eat Snow After TikTok Recipe Video Sparks Heated Debate

Reese Witherspoon is unapologetic about her winter dessert creation that took the internet by storm.

The actress, 47, posted her recipe for a snow-inspired creation she called “snow salt chococcino” on TikTok on Friday. After posting the video, Your place or mine the star received a barrage of questions about whether or not the freshly attacked snow was okay to eat.

In the original video, she showed someone shoveling snow from a vehicle into coffee cups, then adding chocolate and caramel syrup to the snow. They topped the dessert with a cold drink for a “delicious coffee aroma”.

After receiving questions about whether she should eat snow, she posted three videos defending her choice of snack while hitting back at claims that “snow is dirty.”

“We went and got snow from the yard, put it in the microwave and it’s clean. Is this bad?” she asked with a laugh as she responded to a comment that asked her to “put snow in a clear cup and let it melt” to see if it was “safe to eat”.

“Shouldn’t I be eating snow?” she asked.

She then decided she was “in the ‘you only live once’ category and it snows here maybe once a year,” in another video, before adding that the snack was “delicious.”

In her third and final video on the topic, Witherspoon said she grew up not drinking filtered water — “we actually put our mouths on the tap,” she admitted — while one commenter told her she could get “seriously sick” from eating snow.

“So what you’re telling me is that I have to filter the snow before I eat it? i just can’t. I can’t filter the snow, I don’t know how to do it,” she said.
