Reneé Rapp Postpones Shows Due to Illness and to Prevent Long-Term Vocal Cord Injury: ‘I Have to Prioritize My Health’ 

The pop star first embarked on the Snow Hard Feelings Tour in support of her debut album ‘Snow Angel’ last September

The singer/actress, 24, announced on Tuesday that she had to make the tough call to postpone two shows on the UK/European leg of her Snow Hard Feelings Tour due to illness. Rapp informed her fans of the postponement in a post on X (formerly Twitter) and opened up about being “sick most of the time” on her 2024 tour dates.

The Mean girls star said he would have to postpone his afternoon and evening shows presented by Vinilo Record Store and held at The Brook in Southampton, England on March 7.

“Guys, I’m sure you could tell, but my voice was gone after last night’s show,” Rapp wrote. “I’ve been sick for most of the European leg of this tour, and with no time to recover I can’t shake it off. I was told to rest my voice and not sing because of the risk of long-term injury.”

“I want to continue to deliver high-quality shows [for] you,” she continued, noting that she plans to find new dates to perform in Southampton when she returns to the UK for the Reading & Leeds Music Festival in August.

She concluded by talking about why it is important for her to focus on her recovery at this time.

“This tour is everything to me but oh my god… am I burnt out and need to prioritize my health right now,” Rapp wrote. “I love you and appreciate your understanding to no end.”

The “Not My Fault” singer took to the stage for the final time on Monday in Dublin, marking the end of her UK/European tour. She played several dates, including shows in Paris and London, from mid-February to early March.

Rapp is next scheduled to perform both weekends of Coachella with the Sunday lineups on April 14th and 21st. During the late spring and summer, they will play several other festivals, with appearances at Boston Calling, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Osheaga, and Reading & Leeds.

The Sexual life of female students the star has also been touring for most of 2023 in support of the release of her debut studio album Angel in the snow, which arrived in August. Shortly after the record dropped, the “Tummy Hurts” artist embarked on an extensive tour that began in September and lasted until early November.

During the tour, Rapp went viral for her dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals, as well as outstanding covers, including a recent performance of Beyoncé’s “Daddy Lessons” at her Paris stop and Justin Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl” at her Concert for Halloween in New York.
