Four-year-old Zalie loves to watch Disney princess movies – and so does her companion dog, Bosco.
In a video posted on TikTok on October 29, the pair appear equally engrossed in what they’re watching as they sit next to each other on the couch.
“Every little girl needs a dog to watch princess movies with,” Zalie’s mom, Zoe Ansary, wrote alongside the clip.
Ansary tells PEOPLE that an Oregon family adopted Bosco in February after a neighbor posted on Facebook that the rescue dog needed a new home following the death of his previous owner.

“Within an hour, my daughter and he started watching TV together and immediately bonded,” she recalls. “And so I thought, ‘Now we have to keep him.'”
“It was very cold and winter, and we went inside, and my daughter did a show about animals, and he laid his head on top of hers, and they were glued to the TV,” she adds. “And I filmed it actually because I thought, ‘I’ve never seen a dog watching TV before.'”
The latest favorite of this duo is frozen, and are also fans The Lion King, Tangled, and Homecoming. Ansary’s older daughter, 7-year-old Izzy, loves it Guardians of the Galaxy and recently enjoyed Haunted palace.

“Everything they’re watching, he’s watching with them,” Ansary says, noting that Bosco often seems “more interested than we are” in what’s on the screen.
Ansary describes Bosco as a “little brother” to his daughters.

“He has great energy,” she says. “He’s quirky, but very, very loving. He always has to turn his head to one of the girls or us when he’s doing anything cute.”
