RHOBH: Kyle Richards Said She Quit Drinking Because She Couldn’t ‘Afford to Be Depressed’ amid Marital Strain

Sutton Stracke has issues with Kyle Richards and isn’t afraid to name them.

In Wednesday’s episode The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, they continued where they left off. When Kyle confronted “wacky” Sutton after a heated argument, the Southern belle, 52, hit on rumors of her “fat and skinny” friend’s marriage to Mauricio Umansky.

“Go ahead honey,” Kyle said and added. “I’ll be happy to answer all your questions.”

Before the conversation reached the point of no return, the 54-year-old actress abruptly left Sutton’s home.

Elsewhere in the episode, Sutton met up with her friend Jennifer and rehashed her drama with Kyle. The mother-of-three commented on Kyle’s lifestyle changes, noting that she had become “very thin”, worked out for three hours at a time and stopped drinking.

“I didn’t see her wedding ring. I don’t know, I don’t know what it is,” she shrugged before sharing in the confessional. “Kyle is acting in a way I’ve never seen. Now, we have tabloid rumors about Mo cheating. So I just feel like when all these numbers are there, it gives something … something’s wrong.”

Kyle and Sutton later tried to patch things up at the Garcelle Beauvais movie premiere Missing black girl. The Halloween star began the conversation by noting that he thought Sutton came off as “aggressive” and “not very good.”

When Sutton confronted Kyle about her tone, she claimed she was “minding her own business” when the businesswoman approached her to bury the hatchet.

“You just seemed distraught, strange. I don’t know what it was,” she added.

“Kyle is supposed to be my friend, and you’re using words that you know will cut me to the core,” Sutton said in a confessional interview, then added that she also noticed something “off.”

“Go ahead, you want to throw it away one night like such a good friend would,” Kyle said

“As a friend, can I not ask you?” Sutton wondered aloud.

“You’re so full of shit,” Kyle retorted. “We can have … a grown-up conversation and go back and forth and not necessarily agree, but when you say something like, ‘Let’s talk about what’s going on with you,’ and you’re very obviously talking about rumors … that’s not a friend. ”

In the confessional, Sutton said, “I’m not sure why Kyle can’t confide in me or maybe anyone. Friends confide in each other. They talk back to each other. This friendship is a farce.”

“I exercise and I don’t drink because guess what, even if I drink two glasses of wine, the next day I feel down and down,” she said, raising her voice. “I can’t afford to be depressed now.”

In July, PEOPLE confirmed that Kyle and Mauricio had decided to separate after 13 years of marriage.

At the time, the couple denied rumors that they were divorcing in a joint statement posted on Instagram: “Regarding the news that came out about us today… All claims about our divorce are untrue. However, yes, we have had a difficult year. The most challenging in to our marriage. But we both love and respect each other very much. No one was wrong.”

Richards and Umansky, 53, added that “even though we’re in the public eye, we’re looking to work through our issues in private.”

“While it may be fun to speculate, please do not create fake stories to feed into a further nefarious story,” they concluded. “Thank you for your love and support.”
