Richa Anirudh was born on Saturday, May 31, 1975 at Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh (age 44 years as of 2019). Her zodiac sign is Gemini.
After her birth, her family moved to Uttar Pradesh and stayed at a small primary health center (PHC) in Mundha Pande, Moradabad. In 1976, her family moved to Dhanaura in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
She completed her primary education from Seventh-day Adventist School, Moradabad. When she was 6 years old, her father was transferred to Jhansi. Richa completed her 10th class from St. Francis Convent School, Jhansi and went to Christ the King College to pursue her 11th and 12th standards. Richa was actively involved in extracurricular activities during her school days.
She graduated in Science from Behari Degree College, Jhansi. Thereafter, she studied at APTECH Computer College in Jhansi and obtained a 3-year master’s degree in computer software development. After completing her computer course, Richa moved to Delhi and started working at SPIC MACAY.

Richa started her career as a freelance anchor in 1996 at DD-National, where she hosted a show called “Ankur”. In 1998, she moved to Ajmer and joined Dainik Navjyoti, a Hindi daily in Rajasthan, as a trainee reporter. In 2001, she returned to Delhi and worked for Pt. Ravi Shankar serves as Office Administrator. Later, she started working as a host on DD Sports and ETV Urdu. In the same year, she was selected as a radio jockey for AIR FM.
Her career as a news reporter and anchor began in 2002 when she joined Zee News as a reporter. She worked there for 3 years and in 2005 joined Channel 7 (later renamed IBN7) as a special correspondent and news anchor. In 2007, she started her talk show “Zindagi Live” on IBN7 which ran until 2013. In 2017, she re-launched the show on ETV under the name “Zindagi Live Returns”. Later, she launched the show on YouTube titled “Zindagi With Richa”.
Richa also served as RJ for 92.7 BIG FM. She hosts the breakfast show ‘Dilli Meri Jaan’ which deals with the daily issues of the people of Delhi. She hosts another show, “Big Heroes,” which celebrates the spirit of unsung heroes.
Richa is also the Editor-in-Chief of a school magazine called School Live. The magazine provides a platform for students from different schools to read, write and share their views with others.
