It’s a family affair for Richard Gere in Cannes!
The actor (74) was supported by his son Homer James Jigme Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva at the after party of his new film Oh, Canada in Cannes, France on Friday 17 May.
The trio was photographed together at an afterparty held at the Lucia Cannes restaurant. Gere and Homer (24) were a dashing duo in matching tuxedos, while Silva (41) was stunning in a black dress with embroidered flowers.
Geres shares his oldest son, Homer, with his second wife, Carey Lowell, whom he was married to for 11 years, whom he divorced in 2013. He also has two younger sons: Alexander, 4, and another born in 2020, whose name has not yet been revealed , shares with Silva, whom he secretly married in 2018.

Homer’s latest appearance with his father comes after only a handful of public appearances over the years at events with the actor.
Gere has generally kept his marriage and family life private as fatherhood has taken precedence over his film career in recent years.
Speaking in March 2015 about his decision to do so, he said Hindustan Times: “My movie decisions are mostly my own, but I’m very careful not to be away from my son, Homer James Jigme Gere, for a long time. So if I have to be away for a long time, I talk to him about it, and if there’s a problem, I don’t I’m doing a project. Your family is more important than anything.”

The actor last appeared with his wife on the red carpet at a special screening of his film Maybe I will in January 2023.
Gere spoke openly about his marriage to Silva that same month Extra: “There are always two things going on at the same time in any relationship. You, as an individual, are still trying to figure out who you are. How do you share that with the other person and is it okay for you?”
“The person you are today is not the same person 50 years ago when the relationship started … so it’s a constant check,” he added.
