Riley Barber was born in Livonia, Michigan on February 7, 1994. Riley is best known as a professional hockey player who was selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Draft by the Washington, D.C. During his time at the University of Miami, he played for both the Miami Red Hawks and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. Riley is from the United States. In 2017, he joined Capitals, coached by Barry Trotz, and made his NHL debut.
Barber plays college hockey for the University of Miami’s Miami RedHawks in Oxford, Ohio. Barber was selected to the Central College Hockey Association’s All-around First Team for the 2012-13 season. in recognition of his exceptional performance in the first season. - With the Pittsburgh Hornets minor hockey teams and later the Detroit Red Wings, Barber competed in international hockey tournaments in Quebec in 2006 and 2007.
