Ringo Starr is cutting short his fall tour after suffering a minor illness.
The rocker, 84, and his band All Starr announced on Tuesday, September 24, the cancellation of the last two shows on their current tour.
“Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting with his doctor has been advised to cancel these two remaining shows and rest,” a Starr rep said in a press release.
The canceled concerts are scheduled for Tuesday night at TD Pavilion in Mann, Philadelphia and Wednesday night at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

“As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon,” the press release concluded.
The former Beatle and his bandmates hit San Diego on Sept. 7 as part of a fall tour and played 10 shows before Starr fell ill. His collaborators include Colin Hay, Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette and Warren Ham.
On September 18, he shared a post on Instagram collecting some of his favorite moments from the tour so far.
“Just want to say thank you to all the great audience so far – love you all,” the post captioned. “Peace and love from Ringo and the boy. 😎✌️🌟❤️🎶🌻🥦🌈☮️.”
The “Photograph” singer is currently hard at work on a country album with T Bone Burnett, details of which will be announced next month.
He released an EP A spoiled boy in April, marking his fourth EP featuring four tracks, all written and produced by Linda Perry.

Despite recently celebrating his 84th birthday, Starr is as busy as ever, telling PEOPLE last year that he knows age is just a number.
“Nothing makes me old. I’m 27 in my head,” he said. “Wisdom is a difficult word. [Getting older] is what happens, and you try and get busy.”
He also explained why a positive outlook on life was never something he had to work hard on.
“I never felt very down,” he said. “I mean, I have my moments, sure. But my mood is good. That’s all I can say, really.”
