Rinosh George is an Indian rapper, composer, director and actor, known for the song “I’m a Mallu” and the film “Nonsense”. He is a participant in the 2023 reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam 5.

Rinosh George was born in 1992 in Ernakulam, Kerala, India (31 years old; as of 2023). He has been interested in music since childhood and often sang gospel in church. He attended Santiniketan High School, DePaul International Boarding School and Christian School in Bangalore. He completed his pre-university course from Krupanidi College, Bangalore. From 2011 to 2014, he studied for a BA in Broadcast Journalism at Oxford College of Art, Bangalore; however, he dropped out in his final year to pursue a career in music.

Rinoche George began writing songs at a young age. When he was a child, he often watched MTV songs and liked songs by singers such as Shaan. He started working as a professional DJ in 2009. While in college, he formed a band with two friends, Syed Faizan Ahmed and Syed Viqar Ahmed, and participated in a cultural program. They were initially booed by the crowd, who had paper pellets thrown at them; however, they soon began to enjoy the trio’s songs. Since then, they have participated in many events and won many awards.

He recorded several songs while studying in college, produced about 1,000 CDs and distributed them for free in an attempt to build a fan base. His debut single “Believe” (2012) did not do well. From June 2012 to December 2014, he also served as a vocal teacher at ADON Music Academy, Bangalore. In 2014, he released the Hindi song Meri Jaan and the international song Sunrise with American rapper BanG Gully and Bangladeshi rapper Shree Sen. He felt a strong need to pursue a career in music during his final year of graduation, so he dropped out of college. He released some videos; however, the songs did not become popular.

He rose to fame with the song “This is Bengaluru”, which quickly became a hit and has been viewed by more than 1.5 million people on YouTube as of March 2023. The video was shot on the streets of Bengaluru and is a fan favorite.
From January 2015 to September 2017, he worked at Timbre Media as a voiceover artist and radio jockey. When he was trying to find roles in Malayalam films, his friend and actor Paul Mathew suggested him to sing a song in Malayalam to win over the audience from Kerala. He liked the idea and released the song “I’m a Mallu” in June 2016, which became a hit and gained cult status as the Malayan national anthem, with over 9 million views on YouTube People watch. March 2023. He writes about Malayalam culture, food and lifestyle and tries to break stereotypes about Keralites.
From February 2018 to September 2018, he worked as a radio jockey at 101.3 Gold FM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to support his family, after which he returned to India to start his singing career. In October 2018, he performed at the MG University THARANG 2018 Music Festival. In November 2018, he released a song for men’s grooming brand Beardo, which also became a hit.
He has released several hit songs such as Kalayullavante Cinema (2019), Love We’ll Find (2020) and Oh Machane (2023).
Movie
In 2018, he made his acting debut in the Malayalam film Nonsense, starring him and Shruthi Ramachandran, directed by MC Jithin and produced by Johny Sagariga. The character he plays is a student named Arun Jeevan, who is not interested in studies and is called “gibberish” by his teachers. The film is one of the first to feature BMX bicycles. His character was well-loved by fans and critics and was screened at the 2019 Kerala International Children’s Film Festival. He composed and sang the songs in the film, and the song “Break Free” was also very popular.
