Ripley's Andrew Scott Reveals He Passed a Kidney Stone at the 2020 SAG Awards and Was Rushed Out Via Ambulance

Andrew Scott releases fans to a secret he has been guarding for five years.

Despite the chaos, Scott said no one had ever found out about the incident. He also refused to find out where he left the kidney stone.

“That’s too much,” he laughed. “People don’t need to know about it. It was awful. ”

The actor did not take home any victory at this year’s SAG Awards, but nominated for the extraordinary performance of a male actor in a television film or a limited series for his titular character in Ripley.

In a thriller of eight episodes, based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith of 1955 Talented Mr. Ripley, Scott’s Tom Ripley is a man and a sociopath. A completely black and white series followed after the 1999 Remake film, the 1999, Talented Mr. RipleyActs Matt Damon and Jude Law.

In an interview in December 2023. Scott said he wanted to make the character his own after past portraits by other actors.
