Rishi Prabhakar is an Indian spiritualist, self-proclaimed guru and philosopher, known as the founder of Siddha Samadhi Yoga (SSY) programs around the world. He is a world-renowned evangelist on meditation and social awareness, whose expertise also extends to economics, the environment, agriculture and architecture. Prabhakar, founder of the non-profit organization Rishi Samskruti Vidya Kendra (RSVK), is inclined to help people in whatever way he can. The Indian guru has several other courses named after him, including the famous Kaya Kalpa Kriya (KKK), Rapid Comprehension and Review Technique (RCRT), Advanced Meditation Course (AMC), Bhava Samadhi Training (BST), Infant Achievement Program (ISP) ) and Inspirational Leadership for Rural Development (ILRD).

Rishi Prabhakar was born as Prabhakar Raghavendra Rao (age 66 at the time of death) in Chikkabalapur district of Karnataka state on Monday, August 30, 1948, under the astrological sign of Virgo. The Indian-born saint holds Canadian citizenship. Prabhakar grew up in Bangalore, completed his pre-university education at National College, Bangalore, and then earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Bangalore University through a scholarship program of the Government of India. To further her education, Rishi flew to Canada on a full scholarship from the Canadian government and studied for a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering at the University of Ottawa. He is also an MBA graduate from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Rishi has also worked as a computer scientist and consultant for various Canadian government departments.

Rishi was married to Smita Ubale (later known as Arundhati Rishi Prabhakar or Arundhati Ma) for 15 years until her death. They got married in 1999 and have a son, Siddhant Rishi Prabhakar. Arundhati Ma and Rishi met at Siddha Samadhi Yoga ashram in Aurangabad. Arundhati Ma (well known as Rishi’s wife) is a holistic therapist and theological coach who also co-founded Digital RCRT with her son. Apart from this, Arundhati Ma also devoted herself to several other creative endeavors throughout her life, most of which were for social service. Her efforts provided employment opportunities to many poor women.
Rishi’s son Siddhant is the founder and director of Rishi Prabhakar International Foundation. He also co-founded Digital RCRT with his mother in 2021.

Indian spiritual teachers believe that unity, love and brotherhood are the only true religions. He says on his website,
We were arguing stupidly all the time, telling each other: “My religion is greater than yours!”. What does it matter if we call him Allah or Rama? We all come from the earth; we all return to the earth. All religions teach the same principles. “
In order to spread these beliefs of Rishi Prabhakar, his RSVK organization organized a “Global Religious Harmony” event in 1996 at about 200 centers across the country. During the gathering, all participants were asked to take an oath to visit the mosque and read Namaz every Friday, visit the church and pray on Sundays, and visit the temple once a week.

Introduction to Spirituality
When Prabhakar was in his third year of engineering, one of his friends talked to him about meditation, after which he started reading a book on metaphysical meditation written by Shri Paramahansa Yogananda. A year later in 1968, when Rishi was in his final year of engineering, he went to Dakshineswar, which, according to Rishi, changed his life forever. Rishi; However, in July 1974, his teacher Elizabeth Morrison made his first formal contact with spirituality through the Transcendental Meditation Program founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, another Indian spiritual leader. Prabhakar’s pursuit of transcendental meditation led him to serve Maharishi Yogi for several years in Switzerland and India. During his tenure at the Maharishi Ashram, Rishi also served as International Director at the Swiss headquarters for two years.

Rishi left India for the United States in 1969 but stayed there for just over two years. In 1971-1972, he returned to his motherland, staying in India for 21 days and then traveling for several months. In 1974, Rishi founded his famous Siddha Samadhi Yoga (SSY) program. Guruji says the ease that comes with consistent meditation provided him with insights and answers that formed the basis for his SSY courses. He also revealed that from 1979 to 1981, he began practicing more intense meditation, barely leaving his room. To further refine his SSY plan, Rishi turned to his childhood guru in Bangalore, Sri Bhagwan Visweswaraiah, and meditated under his guidance to find answers.

From 1981 to 1983, Prabhakar worked on a new spiritual realm called “Samadhi in Action,” which he formulated through advanced initiation training. During this period, Rishi also founded the Rishi Samskruti Vidya Kendra (RSVK) Charitable Trust in 1982 with his mother and a few others. This registered non-profit organization launched ‘The Fun Club International’ in 2017 in Davangere, Karnataka. 1986 and now available worldwide. Social activist
Guruji was also a social activist who contributed to the education of children in India by establishing several pre-schools, Rishi Gurukulam Vidyalayas and many colleges in Bangalore, Visakhapatnam and Pune. Around the late 1980s, Guruji’s RSVK organization was committed to cleaning up the country and launched the Clean India Movement project, which has now been adopted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Swachh Bharat mission. Volunteers from the Rishi SSY project are also assisting Anna Hazare in developing 300 model villages through water management technology and social reforms.

- In 2010, Rishi Prabhakar’s wife Arundhati Ma accused him of posing as a yoga instructor and sexually harassing her at an ashram, revealing in court that she had spent years trying to expose her husband. Arundhati Ma also claimed that Rishi’s religious remarks were completely ridiculous and that Prabhakar used his status as a “godman” to attract believers and brainwashed women into believing that they were special and then followed his path. - In the same complaint filed against Rishi Prabhakar, his wife accused him of blackmailing her. Arundhati Ma claimed that Rishi hypnotized her, exploited her and clicked an objectionable video of her when the two met at an ashram in Aurangabad but were not yet married. . According to Arundhati Ma, Rishi used the video to blackmail her and threatened her to shut up or he would upload it on the Internet. She also revealed in the complaint that the Indian godman proposed to her soon because he was afraid that she would expose him.

Around 2013, Rishi Prabhakar was diagnosed with aplastic anemia after a series of blood and other diagnostic tests revealed what appeared to be cancer in his body. Next year, Rishi’s failing health forced his family and disciples to admit him to Narayana Hospital in Bangalore. It is believed that Rishi finally attained Mahasamadhi in Bangalore on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 6:26 am after refusing any external medicines and allowing nature to take its course.

- Rishi Prabhakar is also known as Guruji Rishi Prabhakar.
- When he was about seven or eight years old, Rishi learned that he was a child without a father and that the people who raised him were his grandparents. He soon also discovered that the woman he had led him to believe was his sister was actually his mother, Ramadevi.
- The young saint was inspired by the books of Swami Vivekananda. He was an enthusiastic Scout and was considered a smart, obedient, and caring child who always stood up for his principles.
- It is believed that Rishi had no bank account, personal property or anything of his own and lived a fairly simple life.
- Prabhakar said that 1980 was a turning point in his life. In this year, Rishi participated in the training of Werner Erhard and Robert Fritz. Both schools taught him a lot. He said in his blog,

- Another famous Indian master, Jaggi Vasudev (Sadhguru), is a disciple of Rishi Prabhakar. He learned Samadhi Yoga (SSY) from Rishi in 1984. It is reported that the two Indian masters had a disagreement and then parted ways. Later, Sadhguru reformed the Indian yoga master Jaggi Vasudev. Rishi adopted the SSY movement as his own and named it Isha Yoga.
