A man named Jaguar Palace was the head of one of the biggest drug investigations the UK has ever seen. The Jaguar Palace operation has been described by police as the biggest drug trafficking operation in the history of the East of England. What is known of a man is his name. Robert Brooks, also known as Jaguar Palace, was the mastermind behind a large drug trafficking venture involving the importation of around €58 million worth of heroin and cocaine from Hertfordshire. The operation, known as Jaguar Palace, was carried out under the protection of an encrypted telephone contract worth 15,000 euros. In the scheme, the narcotics were shipped in consignments of other items from Europe to the UK. When border patrol agents stopped the package at a port in France and discovered heroin hidden behind spider traps, detectives became suspicious.

Brooks allegedly oversaw 39 different heroin and cocaine shipments to the UK. It is estimated that in his shipments he delivered a total of 1,835 kilograms of class A narcotics, worth between 42 and 58 million euros. In Hunsdon, East Hertfordshire, he ran his operation out of rented premises at Little Samuels Farm. The officers used cell phone data to show that Brooks was the person using the Jaguar Palace codename and that Brooks always had his encrypted phone with him wherever he went.
His death was further sealed by footage from his car’s dash cam, which Brooks turned on while taking narcotics out of the apartment. Brooks had no prior convictions and worked as a part-time driving instructor. He had a young child and was married at the time of his arrest. On his son’s birthday, Brooks made a disturbing phone call from the police station after his arrest. Brooks ends the conversation after pretending to call from the office saying, “Okay mate, see you later, love you.”
Brooks pleaded guilty to conspiring to fraudulently circumvent the import ban on Class A drugs. He also admitted to having illegal items in his possession between November 2018 and August 2019. In September 2020, Brooks was sentenced to 21 years in prison. imprisonment at St. Albans Crown Court for his crimes. After searching the Little Samuels farm, the police arrested Richard Campbell and Tomasz Wozniak. Campbell, a Milton Keynes warehouse worker, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to illegally import heroin and cocaine. In September 2020, he received a sentence of 13 years and 6 months. Wozniak, an MK forklift driver, admitted to conspiracy to acquire cocaine and heroin. He served six years and three months in prison.
