They have two sons: Zahan Mistry and Firoz Mistry. Her husband died in a road accident on September 4, 2022, while traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.

Rohiqa Chagla’s grandfather Mahommedali Currim Chagla (popularly known as MC Chagla) was an Indian freedom fighter who served in the Jawaharlal Nepal Served in Helu’s cabinet. MC Chagla served as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court from 1947 to 1958. He was also a member of the Muslim League. However, he severed ties with the League after its leader, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, began fighting for an independent Muslim state. In 1985, a statue of her grandfather was unveiled and placed outside the Chief Justice’s Court of the Bombay High Court. The inscription on the statue reads:

- Cyrus Mistry is embroiled in a legal dispute with the Tatas after he was ousted as chairman of the Tata Group. At the time, it was Rohiqa Chagla’s family who supported Mistry’s board fight. Apparently, the legal framework within which Cyrus sued the Tata Group was laid out by Roshika’s father, Iqbal Chagla.
- The last person her husband Cyrus Mistry saw before his fatal car accident was Parsi religious leader Guru Dasturji Khurshed.
- According to reports, Rohiqa Chagla’s original surname is not “Chagla” but “Merchant”. Their last name “Chagla” was inherited from her grandfather MC Chagla because her grandfather hated his last name “Businessman” because it was associated with money.
