According to Al Jazeera, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis officially began his bid for the presidency on Thursday in a shaky, hiccup-filled Twitter broadcast.
The following tweet was posted by DeSantis on Thursday: “I’m running for president to lead our Great American Comeback.” In his election speech, DeSantis stated: “We need the courage to lead, and we must have the strength to win.”
You can set your clock to January 20, 2025 at noon if you nominate me because I will be taking the oath of office as the 47th president on the west side of the US Capitol, he stated.
According to Al Jazeera, the broadcast, which featured right-wing businessman David Sacks and Twitter CEO Elon Musk as hosts, initially struggled on several occasions.
Someone might be heard questioning early on, “It just keeps crashing, huh?” Later, the hosts blamed “scaling issues” for the technical troubles. One of the hosts can be heard remarking, “Just a massive number of people online.” “Servers are therefore under some pressure.”
DeSantis has previously registered to run for president with the federal electoral authorities in the United States. Al Jazeera claims that by doing this, he officially enters the race for the Republican candidature in 2024.
