Profession
Since childhood, she has always dreamed of seeing herself on screen. She started her acting career as a theater artist. After moving to Dhaka, she played a role in the drama “Shaistaganj”. Through her theater projects, she met some film directors and landed a small role in the film Janwar. Through this project, she earned Taka 10. Later, she signed a film “Mintu Amar Naam” but unfortunately she was dropped from the film. She quit two more films but she did not lose hope and continued to act in dramas with Fakhrul Hasan Bairagi and Chatku Ahmed. In 1977, she shot her first film “Rajmahal”.

Rozina made her acting debut in the film “Rajmahal” with co-star Wasim when she was just 16 years old. The movie was very popular. After this film, she starred in more than 300 films. In 1985, Hindi film director Shakti Samanta made a Bengali film starring Rozina in the lead role. The film is called ‘Aar Paar’ in Hindi and stars Rozina and Mithun Chakraborty. In 1988, she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for the movie “Koshai”. She emerged as a leading lady in West Bengal in the early 1990s, but after that, she started acting in roles. Till 1993, she did several films in the industry in Kolkata, Nepal, Karachi and Dhaka. Some of her super hit movies as of 1993 include Chokher Moni, Sonar Cheya Dami, Matir Manush, Shohor Theke Dure, Abhiman, Anarkali, Bini Sutar Mala, Rakhe Allah Mare Ke》”, “Sohag Milon”, “Sath Maa”, “Taser Ghar”, “Goli Theke Rajpath”, “Shiri Farhad”, “Bhaggalipi”, “Daku o Darbesh”, “Warish”, “Rangin Rupban”, “Hasu Amar” Hasu”, “Rosher Baidani”, “Razia Sultana”, “Kosai”, “Jibon Dhara” and “Sabuj Mia”.
