Rumer Willis had the most glamorous moment at the Venice Film Festival.
On Sunday, September 1, the 36-year-old actress and singer made an appearance at amfAR’s annual benefit gala. She wore a chocolate silk dress with an open neckline, draped chiffon sleeves and a micro-pleated bodice from the latest Fall/Winter 2024-25 couture collection. Georges Chakra.
Willis kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing just a few rings. She wore her light blonde hair down in a middle parting and behind her shoulders. Her glamorous look was amped up for the evening – with a smokey eye to match.

AmfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, returned to the film festival to honor actor and humanitarian Richard Gere, who was presented with the organization’s Inspiration Award.
Along with awards and a live auction, the black-tie gala included a special performance by singer, actress and longtime amfAR supporter Kelly Rowland, who sang “Dilemma.” Willis also performed, taking the stage to sing The Jackson Five’s “I Want You Back.” The event took place at Hangar Nicelli in Lido di Venezia.

Supporting amfAR is a family affair. Earlier this year, Willis’ mom, Demi Moore, 61, hosted the amfAR Gala in Cannes. At the May 23 event, the actress stunned in a custom Loewe dress that featured a plunging neckline, dramatic slit and crystal-embroidered detailing — as well as a plunging back to reveal even more skin.

On Instagram, Moore reflected on hosting a star-studded charity event in 1997.
“Today we remember the one and only Elizabeth Taylor,” the star captioned a photo of himself and the late actress. “27 years ago I hosted the @amfAR Gala in Cannes on her behalf and am honored to host again tonight.”

Willis told PEOPLE at the event that this is her first time in Venice, so she’s especially excited for the event.
“I’m thrilled to be here,” she says. “But to be able to perform and be here, I’ve been coming to amfAR galas in different places for many years and I feel so honored and privileged to be able to come perform tonight.”
