Simone Biles knows that it’s the thought that counts — even if the numbers don’t add up!
After a night out over Labor Day weekend, Biles, 27, posted a video on Instagram Stories of a sign that didn’t list the exact number of Olympic gold medals she had won. “11X GOLD MEDAL”, it was written on the illuminated sign that the club employees held among the sprinklers and bottles.
The seven-time gold medalist, however, appreciated the thoughtful gesture as it celebrated her incredible gymnastics career.
She posted a video of the moment on Saturday, August 31, captioning her exact medal count: “*7x gold medalist … *11x Olympic medalist. they were close, still super cute,” Biles explained, adding a white heart emoji.

Biles returned home from the 2024 Paris Olympics in mid-August with several more medals, bringing her total to 11 since 2016.
During the Paris Games, she took home three gold medals in the women’s individual all-around, team all-around and vault. She also won a silver medal on the floor.
Since returning home, she’s been keeping fans updated on the progress of the “dream house” in Texas she’s building with husband Jonathan Owens. “I’m so happy to be doing this thing called life with you 💋,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on September 1, showing off the finishing touches.

Biles has also kept sports on her schedule, even if she’s not competing. She and fellow gold medalist Gabby Thomas attended the Indiana Fever basketball game on Aug. 28 and greeted Caitlin Clark afterward.
The Olympian also threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Houston Astros game on Friday, August 30th.

Whether Biles will compete in the 2028 Olympics remains to be seen – but Owens, 29, will support her no matter what she decides. The Chicago Bears player told PEOPLE in August that he approves of “whatever she chooses.”
“I will support her one thousand percent,” he added.
