In 2018, she pursued a Masters in Music from Mumbai University. At the age of six, she started learning music. For six years, she has been training under Nidhi Narang of the Agra school.

In 2015, she started her career as a singer and started performing for brands like Times of India, Videocon, Airtel, etc. in India and abroad. In 2016, she became the finalist of Zee TV’s singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and was given the title of “India’s Shakira”.

- Rupali is also known as the ‘Swar Kokila’ of Saharanpur.
- At the age of six, she went to a temple with her mother. There, she was inspired by the bhajans (devotional songs) her mother sang and sang a bhajan in the temple. Seeing her daughter singing, her mother suggested to her father that she should learn music. At first, her father was hesitant; as no one in their family had a musical background, but eventually he relented.
- Apart from singing, she is also an excellent dancer and in 2008, she even participated in the dance reality show Chak De Bachche on Channel 9X.

- In first grade, she represented her state in a singing competition organized by the Sangam Kala Group and won fourth place. Her father realized her love for singing and asked her to represent different cities in India in the same competition. In 2011, she won the Delhi competition.
- Rupali would do Riyaaz for two hours every morning. After doing Riyaaz, she would do four to five mock recordings for music directors like Pritam, Amit Trivedi and Sajid-Wajid. Talking about her lifestyle in the city of dreams, Rupali said:
