RUSSELL Brand released a stunning video overnight, attacking “aggressive” media claims saying his relationships have “always been consensual”.
The star said that while he had been “promiscuous” during his lifetime, he said he “absolutely denies” the “serious” allegations made against him by two media organisations.

In a video posted on his Twitter account, the 48-year-old said the allegations date back to when he was in the “mainstream”.
Details of the charges have not been disclosed.
In his explosive video, Brand said he received a letter and email detailing a list of allegations against him.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “In the midst of this litany of stunning rather baroque attacks, often very serious allegations, which I absolutely refute.
“These allegations refer to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in newspapers all the time, when I was in movies.
“And as I’ve written about at length in my books, I was very, very promiscuous.

“I’ve always been transparent about it. Then almost too transparent, and now I’m also transparent.”
He emphasized that he “absolutely denies” the accusations.

Hello, you are amazing.
This is not the usual type of video we do on this channel where we criticize, attack and undermine the news in all its depravity because in this story I am the news.
I received two extremely disturbing letters – a letter and an email.
One from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, lists a litany of extremely outrageous and aggressive attacks as well as some pretty stupid stuff – like my community festival should be stopped, so I shouldn’t be able to attack mainstream media narratives on this channel .
But amid this litany of stunning, rather baroque, attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute. These accusations relate to when I was working in the mainstream – when I was in newspapers all the time, when I was in movies, and as I’ve written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous.
Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent. And now I’m transparent about it.
And when I see how that transparency has metastasized into something criminal that I absolutely deny, it makes me wonder if there is some other agenda at play?
Especially when we’ve seen coordinated media attacks before – like with Joe Rogan when he dared to take a drug that the mainstream media didn’t approve of and we’ve seen a series of headlines from outlets around the world using the same language.
I’m aware that you’ve been saying in the comments for a while now ‘Watch out Russell, they’re coming for you, you’ve come too close to the truth, Russell Brand didn’t kill himself’.
I know a year ago there was a flurry of ‘Russell Brand is a conspiracy theorist, the right wing of Russell Brand’ articles.
I am aware that the media are calling, sending letters to people I have known for years.
It was clear to me, or at least it seemed to me, that there was a serious and concerted plan to control these kinds of spaces and these kinds of voices, and I mean my voice along with your voice.
I don’t mind them using my books and my attitude to talk about my promiscuous consensual behavior in the past. What I seriously deny are these very very serious criminal charges.
It’s also worth mentioning that there are witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narratives these two mainstream media are trying to construct, clearly in what appears to me to be a coordinated attack
I don’t want to go into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations, but I feel like I’m under attack and it’s clear they’re working very closely together
Obviously we’re going to look into this matter because it’s very, very serious. In the meantime, I want you to stay close, stay awake, but more importantly than all of that if you can, please stay free.
The actor also said there had been calls for his Community Festival in Hay-on-Wye to be cancelled.
It emerged on Friday that Channel 4 will highlight the A-list celebrity’s behavior in the Dispatches program which will air at 9pm on Saturday night.
There is no indication that Brand will be covered by the program.
A source told The Mirror: “This program has been years in the making and has been edited down to the last minute.”
