RUSSELL BRAND’S alleged predatory behavior towards women was an “open secret” among senior TV and radio executives, an inquest has claimed.
BBC and Channel 4 bosses reportedly turned a blind eye to him while female comedians reportedly warned each other about him.

Brand denies any wrongdoing.
The Sunday Times reported that it discovered that in his early years at Channel 4, researchers and runners were asked to approach female viewers so he could meet them after filming.
Two former crew members stated that they felt like they were working as “pimps” for him.
One runner, who was 24 at the time, said Brand showed her around in the dressing room.
Called Rachel, she said: “Manufacturing houses allowed him to exist in these environments where he could tap into who he was.”
And yesterday, four women accused the star of rape, sexual assault and abuse.
It comes as…
The attacks allegedly took place at the height of his fame between 2006 and 2013, including when one of the defendants was just 16.
The girl, named Alice, claimed that Brand groomed her while at school, even forcing her to read Lolita, a Russian novel in which the main character kidnaps and sexually assaults a 12-year-old girl.
Alice claimed that during their three-month relationship the then 31-year-old shoved his penis down her throat until she choked and said he did it to “see her mascara leaking”.
She even claimed she had to punch him in the stomach to get him to stop.
What’s more, Alice accused studio bosses of dismissing her complaints when she later worked at Channel 4.
According to her, Brando was discussed as a potential showrunner in late 2013 and that when they learned of the allegations, television executives suggested removing the women from the staff instead of Brando himself.
She stated: “The solution that was offered was that we would remove female personnel from the crew.
“Women who have worked hard to get into this industry are now unable to work on certain shows for fear of being assaulted or harassed.
– I was in disbelief.
Meanwhile, another woman, Nadia, accused Brand of raping her without a condom against the wall of his LA apartment.
In the messages allegedly exchanged between her and the comedian, it can be seen that he is “very sorry” and that he will “make it up to her with love and kindness”.
Brand has denied any wrongdoing, saying in a statement to YouTube that “there are some very serious allegations that I absolutely deny.”
He added: “The relationships I’ve had have been absolutely, always consensual.”
Russell Brand video transcript in full
Hello, you are amazing.
This is not the usual type of video we do on this channel where we criticize, attack and undermine the news in all its depravity because in this story I am the news.
I received two extremely disturbing letters – a letter and an email.
One from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, lists a litany of extremely outrageous and aggressive attacks as well as some pretty stupid stuff – like my community festival should be stopped, so I shouldn’t be able to attack mainstream media narratives on this channel .
But amid this litany of stunning, rather baroque, attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute. These accusations relate to when I was working in the mainstream – when I was in newspapers all the time, when I was in movies, and as I’ve written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous.
Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent. And now I’m transparent about it.
And when I see how that transparency has metastasized into something criminal that I absolutely deny, it makes me wonder if there is some other agenda at play?
Especially when we’ve seen coordinated media attacks before – like with Joe Rogan when he dared to take a drug that the mainstream media didn’t approve of and we’ve seen a series of headlines from outlets around the world using the same language.
I’m aware that you’ve been saying in the comments for a while now ‘Watch out Russell, they’re coming for you, you’ve come too close to the truth, Russell Brand didn’t kill himself’.
I know a year ago there was a flurry of ‘Russell Brand is a conspiracy theorist, the right wing of Russell Brand’ articles.
I am aware that the media are calling, sending letters to people I have known for years.
It was clear to me, or at least it seemed to me, that there was a serious and concerted plan to control these kinds of spaces and these kinds of voices, and I mean my voice along with your voice.
I don’t mind them using my books and my attitude to talk about my promiscuous consensual behavior in the past. What I seriously deny are these very very serious criminal charges.
It is also worth mentioning that there are witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narratives these two major media outlets are trying to construct in what appears to me to be a coordinated attack
I don’t want to go into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations, but I feel like I’m under attack and it’s clear they’re working very closely together
Obviously we’re going to look into this matter because it’s very, very serious. In the meantime, I want you to stay close, stay awake, but more importantly than all of that if you can, please stay free.
And last night he went ahead with his planned comedy show at Wembley Park Theatre, where he said there were “things I can’t talk about”.
Brand was greeted with a standing ovation from the crowd, some of whom held signs in support of him.
During the show, he joked that one of the viewers who looks like him could be his stunt double and that it could “come in handy”.
The show began as a charity fighting to end violence against women and cut ties with Brando.
In a statement on social media, Trevi Women & Children’s Charity wrote: “Russell became aware of our charity in 2022 after hearing about some of the amazing mothers we have helped get off drugs over the years.
“He wanted to support our cause and raise money through his Stay Free foundation.
“We have terminated cooperation with Russell Brand and the Stay Free Foundation.”
The charity added that it was “deeply saddened and disturbed” by the allegations against him.
Meanwhile, his sister-in-law Kirsty Gallacher initially shared a link to his denial on social media but appears to have since deleted it.
He also received online support from controversial influencer Andrew Tate, who branded the allegations “crazy”.
However, Brando’s wife Laura Gallacher has yet to speak out about the allegations and appears to have deleted her personal Instagram page.
After his time at Channel 4, Brand went on to work for the BBC. In the “Sachsgate” scandal of 2008, he and his Radio 2 co-host Jonathan Ross made prank phone calls to the late Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs.
Channel 4 said it was “appalled to learn of these deeply worrying allegations” and would investigate.
