The ‘Barbie’ nominee skipped the red carpet but was spotted heading to the show in a Gucci black suit and shirt with white detailing
Ryan Gosling may have skipped the red carpet, but his signature style was on display at the 2024 Golden Globes.
The actor, 43, who was nominated for the role of Ken in Barbie wearing a Gucci black wool suit and (mostly unbuttoned) shirt with white stud detailing and black leather lace-up shoes.
And while he arrived at the awards alone, his longtime love Eva Mendes (48) cheered him on from the sidelines even before the film hit theaters in July.

Last June, when the world first saw Gosling’s transformation into Ken, via a photo of the actor sporting platinum hair, a very revealing denim outfit and boxers with Ken, Mendes shared a picture of it, which almost immediately went viral on his Instagram account, with the caption: “Therefore. F. Funny. So. F. Good. So F excited for you to see this… #Thatsmyken.” In September, Mendes released a video showing Gosling wearing sunglasses walking like him Barbie the ballad “I’m Just Ken” plays in the background.
In another nod to the actor’s role in the box office hit, Mendes decorated the video with a sticker of Gosling as an ultra-tanned, bleached blonde doll. She also added a heart sticker.
In an interview with Access to Hollywood at the film’s Los Angeles world premiere in July, Gosling was asked how he felt about his Instagram crush on Mendes.
“It means everything. It means everything,” said the actor, whose jewelry for the evening also represented his love for Mendes: a small pendant with the letter E, short for Eva.

Mendes and Gosling have been dating since 2011, when they were filming A place behind the pines together. Although the couple never married, they have two children: Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7.
It’s a big night for the film, which has grown to become the highest-grossing film of 2023 (and Warner Bros’ biggest!) with more than $1.44 billion worldwide since its July release, receiving nine Golden Globe nominations in film categories, including one for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and a nod to Margot Robbie for her role as the title character.
