Who Is Jon Pardi’s Wife? All About Summer Pardi

She helped Jon Pardi find his wife, Summer Pardi.

The “Dirt on My Boots” singer was introduced to Summer (née Duncan) by a friend of his mother’s — who was also one of Summer’s hair clients — in 2017.

“Long story short, Jon’s mom texted him my number,” Summer told PEOPLE in 2020. “He was performing in my hometown, and he called me and invited me to the show. I was in Las Vegas, so I said, ‘Maybe next time you’re in to the city.’ Obviously, I wasn’t aware of how tour life worked so he came back with, ‘How about I take you to Denver next week?’ ”

Summer was reticent about meeting Jon for the first time, but they both felt a strong connection almost immediately.

“Summer was love at first sight for the first time in my life,” Jon said. “She was the first girl I dated who felt like she had my back and that we really were a team.”

In February 2023, Jon and Summer welcomed their first child, a daughter, Presley. The couple is currently expecting their second child.

She is a hairstylist from Northern California

Summer is from Clovis, California, where she worked as a hairstylist for 13 years and operated her own business — Tangled Salon and Spa in Fresno, California.

Summer connected her career with her future husband.

Ellen Moxley, a client of Summer’s and a friend of Jon’s mom, set up a blind date in May 2017. Moxley told Summer she knew a man who came from a great family who would be a good fit, and with Summer’s permission, Jon’s mom gave him her number.

“I’ve been a hairstylist for 13 years and you become family with your clients, so they know the good, the bad and the ugly of your life,” Summer told PEOPLE in 2020. “My client, Ellen Moxley, has been friends with Jon’s mom her whole life, and after several of my failed dating attempts, she called one day to tell me about a guy she knew very well from California.”

Jon ended up taking Summer to one of his shows, which she was skeptical about at first.

“All my girlfriends convinced me that I had nothing to lose,” she said. “So I flew there with the girl, just in case she went south.”

The two met at his performance in a village bar and went to lunch the next morning.

She and John bonded immediately

While Summer was initially skeptical about traveling to meet Jon, both parties felt an instant connection.

“Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over for me,” she told PEOPLE. “I texted my mom, ‘Sell my house, sell your car, send your dog.’ ”

It was the same for Jon. The country music star said he felt “love at first sight” with Summer and that their relationship fell into place immediately.

“Summer is incredibly beautiful to look at, but that doesn’t compare to her heart and how caring she is. We have the most fun together — in any situation — and we’re always laughing,” Jon told PEOPLE.

They got engaged on tour

During a stop in Nashville on Jon’s 2019 Heartache Medication tour, he popped the question to Summer on stage.

The country rocker kept the proposal plan a secret from everyone for a long time, though he eventually told Summer’s father about his plans so her family could witness the special moment.

Jon told PEOPLE in 2019 that Summer’s parents were planning a trip to Nashville, “and I said, ‘You might want to stay another night.’ ” He added: “We even kept it a secret from her mum because I didn’t want all her friends from home to show up and she’d be like, ‘Why are they all here?’ It turned out great.”

He also revealed that the evening’s venue, the Ryman Auditorium, was the site of one of their first dates.

“When she first came to town, going there was part of our first date,” he said. “I played the Ryman with Rhett Akins, we got to hang backstage and I was the tour guide.”

Dierks Bentley, one of Jon’s friends and country stars, shared a series of pictures from the proposal night on Instagram, congratulating the couple.

“My man! @jonpardipics destroying @theryman stage and ruining life… so proud of you my friend,” he captioned the post. “Killer performance with my favorite encore of all time. Congrats to you and @summerfawn_duncan 💍.”

She and Jon got married in November 2020

Jon and Summer were originally scheduled to get married in Montana over Memorial Day weekend 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed those plans. Instead, they were married at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on November 21, 2020.

“We had a friend get married at Saddle Woods last year, and when we walked into their wedding, Jon said, ‘This is the most amazing wedding and venue,'” Summer told PEOPLE in 2020. “So when we had canceling our destination wedding, they were naturally the first place we called when we knew we had to keep things closer to home. 2020 is never a good time to get married, so after all the planning and re-planning, we were happy to get to do it. ”

They acted Pardi time

In 2020, Jon and Summer starred Pardi time, its own eight-episode series on the CMT YouTube channel. The series gave fans a glimpse into what Jon and Summer have been up to during quarantine.

“Welcome to a romantic dinner with me and Summer — sit in our chair and dine with us,” Jon said in Pardi time teaser. “Summer cooked us a great fillet. [We’re] It’s done Southern style with some mac and cheese, sweet corn and some asparagus.”

In the music video for Jon’s 2019 single “Heartache Medication,” Summer plays his love interest. The video follows a real-life couple who meet at a bar and dance together.

“It was fun,” Jon told PEOPLE in 2019. “We love to dance. I think every couple should explore dance, it’s a lot of fun.”

They share a daughter together

Jon and Summer exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that they are expecting their first child in September 2022.

“I’m ready to start a new adventure with my wonderful wife Summer and our new child — Pardi, three!” Jon said. “I know [being parents] it will be the greatest gift in the world,” added Summer.

They soon found out they were expecting a little girl whom they named Presley Fawn. She was born on February 18, 2023.

Summer announced the news on Instagram, writing, “Our lives have changed forever… She has one dimple on her cheek like her mommy and her daddy’s perfect skin.”

At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, Jon revealed that six weeks after her birth, Presley was “making all kinds of noises and laughing.”

“It’s a new adventure where everything they’ve told you is true,” he told CMT. “That baby is going to change your life. You’re going to have a feeling you’ve never felt before. It’s a missing hole in your soul that I’ve never felt before.”

She and Pardi are expecting child number 2

In January 2024, less than a year after welcoming Presley, the couple announced that they were currently expecting their second child.

“Good thing we have an extra guest room,” Summer wrote on Instagram alongside a video of the couple’s new home in Nashville. “We can’t wait to fill this home with all the love of our little family of four.”
