Ryan Gosling expresses his gratitude to the stuntmen.
On Wednesday, Barbie The 43-year-old actor spoke about the key role played by stuntmen and stuntwomen during his performance on the special The Fall Guy screening at The Grove in Los Angeles following the film’s SXSW premiere on Tuesday.
“I was in an action TV show for kids called Young Herculesand actually I’ve had a stunt double my whole life,” the Canadian star told reporters about appearing in the Greek mythology series that debuted in 1998.
“There’s this kind of accepted dynamic where they come on set, do all the cool stuff, risk everything, and then they disappear into the shadows and we all pretend they never existed,” he added.
“Everyone else on set gets credit, but there’s just kind of an unspoken understanding that they won’t. Well, that ends today!” Gosling added.

The actor was joined at the screening by the film’s director David Leitch, as well as co-stars Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham and Stephanie Hsu.

Gosling, who plays stuntman Colt Seavers in the film, gave a special shout-out to his stunt double Logan Holladay and the rest of the cast when asked how playing the character changed the way he viewed fear.
“It took about eight stuntmen to make one Fall Guy. And there were moments where I thought, ‘Should we make a movie or rob a bank?’ Because this is kind of the biggest bank robbery team,” he told reporters.

“Everyone had their own special skill, it was like the Avengers or something. And in fact, many of them were probably in the the Avengers, if you look at their resumes. It was an honor to be a part of it. I’ve benefited from their work and their help since, as I said, since I started,” Gosling continued.
“So to be a part of telling their story, and in some small way, trying to show how vital they are and how important what they do is.”
Logan Holladay, who was a stunt driver for Gosling’s character in the film, received a special honor during the film after he set a new Guinness World Record by flipping a car eight and a half times during production in 2022 on the beaches of Sydney, Australia.

“He buckled me in the car for a stunt he was about to do, and then he did eight and a half cannons, which is a world record, and then he pulled me out of the car and patted me on the back for the stunt he just pulled,” Gosling told reporters of Holladay. achievement.
