Production of Deadpool 3 may have been halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, but things continue to look for Ryan Reynolds, who will return with Rob McElhenney.
Their hugely popular documentaries, Welcome to Wrexhamis finally back with a second season after the first season ended in October and it’s coming out faster than you think.
The announcement came with the first poster for the new sequel. The official second season of the FX show will premiere on Hulu on September 12, documenting some of the highs and lows of Wrexham AFC’s final season, including their rise to fame after being crowned National League champions in 2022-23.

With recent promotion, the club will compete in League Two, the fourth and lowest tier of the main British professional football system. The men’s team lifted the Championship Cup after a thrilling 3-1 win over Boreham Wood in April, their first league title in 45 years.
The first season ended with the team losing in the semi-finals of the 2021–22 Nations League knockout stages, ending on a disappointing but upbeat note.

The post was shared on their social media page with the caption: “To win it all you have to give it your all. FX’s Welcome to Wrexham season 2 premieres on September 12.”
The first trailer for the new season was released during the halftime break of Wrexham’s pre-season match against Chelsea on July 19, with the official announcement of the release a few days later.

Earlier this month, it was announced that the critically acclaimed series has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Show.

Taking to social media, co-owners Ryan and Rob shared an emotional message, writing: “The story of Wrexham has resonated with millions because you don’t have to be Welsh or a football fan to be touched by this city.

“We are so grateful for today’s six Emmy nominations and we move on [honored] the people of Wrexham allowed us to tell their story,” their statement continued, ending with: “Diolch! Cymru am byth!” means: “Thank you! Welsh Glory!”

In 2020, RR McReynolds LLC – a joint venture owned by Ryan and Rob – purchased Wrexham AFC for $2.5 million with the approval of Supporters’ Trust members.

Their ownership of a Welsh association football club has not only attracted more international attention to regional sports leagues but also the ownership of celebrity-focused sports teams in general.
