Ryan Reynolds Clocks Up ‘3:AM’ Gym Visit Ahead of Deadpool 3 Filming

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the 47-year-old actor, who is set to reprise his role as Wade Wilson, shared a selfie in the gym mirror surrounded by heavy weights.

The Welcome to Wrexham star put a rotating “3:AM” sticker in the corner of his Instagram Story, along with a GIF of his character hanging upside down and showing a love heart shape with hands.

In the video, Reynolds posed in a white tank top, black joggers and a baseball cap with one hand in his pocket and the other on his phone.

Reynolds’ early morning workout comes after he was snapped filming scenes for the movie with co-star Hugh Jackman on Monday,

The pair were spotted on set in southern England, with Reynolds dressed as Deadpool in his signature red bodysuit and Jackman, 55, in Wolverine’s yellow and blue bodysuit.

In one photo, the duo can be seen walking side by side, while in another, Deadpool has jumped onto Wolverine’s back.

And Reynolds is not the only one Deadpool star who hit the weights. On Sunday, Jackman shared a video of himself lifting dumbbells during a gym workout.

“There are no days off – except tomorrow. 💪🏻 #becomingwolverineagain,” the The greatest showman the star wrote the clip. He soundtracked the video with a popular workout song — “Rock and Roll” by the Glitter Band.

Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on July 26, 2024 after Jackman and Reynolds first hinted on Instagram about playing Wolverine in the latest installment in September 2022.

“I’m probably going to have more fun doing this movie than I’ve ever done in my life,” Jackman told PEOPLE in October 2022. “I think I’m on set with [Ryan] every day and the two of them on film in every city together every day… I think it’s fair to say they’re going to be hitting each other’s s— all the time.”
