Ryan Reynolds returns to prosthetics as Deadpool!
The actor, 47, was seen wearing the characters familiar face with scars on set Deadpool 3 on Jan. 22 as he was joined by costar Hugh Jackman in the final days of filming the highly anticipated film, which will be released this summer.
Reynolds also wore Deadpool’s red costume for the event, while Jackman, 55, wore Wolverine’s yellow suit on location in southern England.
Deadpool’s facial scars are the result of experimental cancer treatment undertaken by Reynolds’ character Wade Wilson in the first film of the franchise. The dangerous and painful treatment unlocked his superhero powers, but also left him scarred from head to toe.

Hugh Jackman shares ‘Time to shave’ as he wraps himself up Deadpool 3 with ‘Best Friend’ Ryan Reynolds
Reynolds and Jackman wrapped Deadpool 3 — which was announced for release on July 26 — last week.
To mark the experience, Reynolds posted a cheeky photo of his crotch in a Deadpool costume on Instagram and shared an emotional message.
“The suit hides the blood. Also sweat… But today, with the Deadpool cover, it’s mostly tears,” the actor wrote in the description at the time. “Huge and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman… all under the steadfast guidance of @slevydirect.”

Jackman, meanwhile, posted a heartfelt message as he shared a photo of himself with Wolverine’s sideburns shaved while sitting in a dressing room.
“What a ride! I loved every minute of making this movie. Well… not training 4a or steamed fish and vegetables 4 times a day for 6 months, but the other 93.2%,” the actor wrote in the caption.
“A collective thank you to the entire cast and crew. You are all aces! If you are reading this and think I mean you, I do. To two of my best friends @vancityreynolds and @slevydirect, I literally could not have done this without you. VERBATIM! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave.”

In October 2022, Jackman said ahead of filming the third Dead pool sequel with Reynolds saying he’ll “probably have more fun with this movie than any other I’ve ever done.”
Jackman then told PEOPLE, “I think I’m on set with [Ryan] every day and the two of them on film in every city together every day… I think it’s fair to say they’re going to be hitting each other’s s— all the time.”
