The name of the fourth baby of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively remains a mystery!
While appearing on Today show on Monday, May 13 IF actor teased the couple’s newest family member when Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb asked about the baby’s name.
“Taylor Swift puts it in lyrics all the time!” Guthrie said, likely referring to Swift’s song “Betty,” from the 14-time Grammy winner’s 2020 album. Folklorewhich includes the names of his older three children.
After Guthrie asked Reynolds, 47, if the new baby’s name was anywhere on Swift’s new album Department for tortured poetsjoked, “We’re always waiting for Taylor to do it tell us the child’s nameand I will say this: we’re still waiting.”

The father of four continued to joke of Swift, 34, “She’s a prolific writer — I mean, what are we doing here? And ‘lazy’ is not a word I would associate with Taylor.”
“Betty” not only features the name of Reynolds and Lively’s third child Betty, 4½, but also her older sisters Ines, 7½, and James, 9. The couple then announced they were expecting their fourth child in September 2022, and had welcomed the latest addition until February 2023.

Reynolds previously said they kept the names of their girlfriends on “Betty” a secret until the song was finished, telling SiriusXM city Hall interview in August 2021, “We surprised them with it.”
“They didn’t know,” he added Deadpool & Wolverine star. – They had no idea.
He went on to joke: “We don’t tell them anything; we find them most accommodating if you don’t offer them access to outside information.”

Although Reynolds and Lively, 36, have not shared details about their youngest child, Reynolds noted during an interview in November 2022. Today show that he and his wife “never find out” the gender of their children “until [they’re born].”
The following June, Reynolds mentioned their fourth child when he announced his new series Bedtime stories with Ryan on social networks.
In an Instagram post, the father-of-four shared a video showing him preparing to read a book to a pair of animatronic sheep and a shot of him relaxing on a rooftop.
In the caption, Reynolds wrote that “the idea for a show made to help everyone sleep was born on the same day as my fourth child.”
IF is in theaters from Friday, May 17.
