Ryan Reynolds Thanks 2023 for a Year ‘Playing with People’ He Loves in New Photo Carousel

Ryan Reynolds had an epic year!

The actor, 47, shared a series of photos on Instagram on Saturday from the year 2023 as he reflected on all the memorable moments he’s had — including hanging out with the likes of King Charles and Taylor Swift.

“Thank you 2023 part 1. In no real order. I got to spend most of the year working and playing with the people I ❤️❤️,” he captioned the post.

He began his look back with a snap of himself and wife Blake Lively embracing on the beach, before sharing a photo from the November ceremony in Vancouver where he was named to the Order of British Columbia, which he previously said on Instagram was “the honor of a lifetime.”

The carousel also included a group selfie showing Reynolds with his arms around Lively, 36, and her BFF Swift, 34, at the Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 1. Dead pool The star, of course, featured several photos in her preview of herself attending matches of her Wrexham football team and posing with the players.

Another picture shows Reynolds and his Just friends leading lady Amy Smart at a short reunion. The two teamed up to make a mini “sequel” to the 2005 rom-com in the form of a commercial for Reynolds’ Aviation American Gin brand called “Just Friendsgiving.”

The Spiritualized The star also uploaded a photo of herself smiling and standing behind King Charles when the couple met in December 2022. Charles, along with his wife Queen Camilla, visited Wrexham Association Football Club in North Wales to learn more about the football club’s revival, which Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney bought in 2021.

The father-of-four ended his carousel with a photo of himself as Wade Wilson for the upcoming sequel Deadpool 3.

As promised, Reynolds released a follow-up post featuring a “part deux” of his 2023 highlights. He included photos of Lively and his Dead pool costar (and off-screen friend) Hugh Jackman makes a separate visit to the Wrexham ground in the UK, along with several other football-related shots.

Another post also featured a photo of Reynolds posing at the 2023 Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television Special Awards, where he was honored with a humanitarian award.

One of the most important things that Reynolds — who is fiercely private about his family life — left out in his posts was the fourth child he and Lively welcomed earlier this year. On Super Bowl Sunday in February, Gossip girl star, whose pregnancy news was announced in September 2022, posted a photo revealing that she no longer has a baby bump.

“Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023. 🥘 🍲 🥧 was busy,” she wrote at the time in a post on Instagram.

The newly arrived couple was joined by daughters James (9), Inez (7) and Betty (4).
